A Tour {Partial}

So, after about 6 months, I suppose I'll give you a little tour of our house.  It's not quite complete (from my perspective) but slowly it's getting there.

 LIVING ROOM
Looking from the entryway.  Still looking for a picture for above the fireplace...
the search isn't going well! =/

View from the bedroom hallway.

View from the back doorway.

New curtains!!  It's a little bright to see very well, but it gives you the idea!

View from kitchen.
 KITCHEN
We had the builder add the backsplash since there wasn't one.

BATHROOM
Again...still searching for some bathroom decor.

My modified shower curtain!  Couldn't find one long enough
so we added some coordinating fabric to lengthen it.

RILEY'S ROOM

He desperately wanted to paint his wall red!  I vetoed the idea and thought
I'd give him a red letter 'R' instead!  At least he has some red in his room!

Found this frame at Target (originally turquoise) and thought
it would be a good spot for his art/pics of him and Carter, etc.
This was his first "man" (Daddy) and he wrote his name all by
himself--with a little coaching!

CARTER'S ROOM

Still need to add some things to this yet.

So, there you have it.  I'm still working on our bedroom/bathroom.  The bedroom has been painted just haven't found any decor yet that I just have to have!  I guess I haven't really looked yet either!  And, the spare bedroom hasn't been touched.  I think I need a painting break!  It's not so easy to paint with 2 kids unless I want to stay up until all hours of the night!  Oh well, slowly but surely!

Carter {11 months}

Hard to believe that this little guy is 1 month shy of a year!  He wasn't too excited to be taking pictures for me this morning!

He's started scooting around and rolling all over the place just a few weeks ago!  Big brother is trying to learn to keep his things picked up now!  And Riley has fun leading Carter around the room taunting him with something that he wants!

He can ALMOST pull himself up.  He gets to his knees and then decides he's stuck! He loves to stand so it would really help me out if he could just figure out how to get from his knees to his feet!  He doesn't sit up from laying down yet so his mattress hasn't had to be lowered. (Maybe I just jinxed myself and I'll have to do that after nap today!)

He's starting to become quite the wiggle worm when he gets his diaper changed.  And, we've moved up in diaper size (3)!  Although, now they pretty much seem to wrap around his entire body!  He's wearing 6 month and 9 month clothes.

He loves to throw things.  I think he's figured out that game! =)  Doesn't matter what it is--paci, cup, ball, block, car--you name it, after awhile, he'll toss it!

Carter has four teeth now and baby food has pretty much disappeared.

Something is always in his mouth!  I feel like I'm constantly digging something out of there!  Paper, mulch, grass, sand, whatever didn't get swept up in the kitchen!

He's a mover!  I think maybe more like his dad then we realize!  Books are a chew toy, not to read and he doesn't stay with one thing for all that long!  Although, he can sit with Daddy and watch t.v. with him and be perfectly content!

Wouldn't trade him for anything and we are excited to see what 1 year brings!

Carter {10 months}

I decided I better get this post up before Carter turns 11 months!

I think maybe I procrastinated on this post because I did not get good pictures AT ALL!  Apparantly he did not want to smile for me and was either rolling over or scooting himself off the blanket!  You can see what I mean!

So, that's the best of what I got...horrible, I know!  But, I guess that's a little glimpse of him at 10 months!  It hasn't been too eventful but at 10 months Carter:

-loves to stand!  Can't quite get himself pulled up yet, but it's coming!
-has 3 teeth--the third just popped through the day before he turned 10 months.
-eats pretty much all table food and won't stop until you stop putting it in front of him!
-travels extremely well
-still looks like Daddy (at least to most people who know us well) and some, typically strangers, will say he looks just like his brother and still others will say he looks like Mommy's side of the family!
-still has the cheesiest grin
-starting to actually roll all over the place now!
